Officer Roles and Responsibilities
National Director
- Provide leadership and guidance, oversee Club Operations.
- Communicate and discuss Club issues with the National Officers. (Deputy Director, Protocol Officer, Sgt at Arms and Chaplain)
- Communicate all Club Events and Rides to the Club. (post on Facebook, Website, emails, Group Messages)
- Motivate FMRC members to attend rides, club events (national, state or chapter)
- Send Royalty money (from sale of Shields and Merchandise using the FMRC Emblem) to Bear Semi Annually (June 1 and December 20)
- Answer questions from interested Brothers about the FMRC, promote membership, rides and events
National Deputy Director
- Assist the National Director in providing leadership and guidance, oversee operations of the Club
- Become knowledge in all facets of club operations.
- Communicate all Club Events and Rides to the Club. (post on Facebook, Website, emails, Group Messages)
- Process new memberships and ship Membership packets when the National Director or Membership Officer is not available to perform the task.
- Motivate FMRC members to attend rides, club events (national, state or chapter)
- Answer questions from interested Brothers about the FMRC, promote membership, rides and events
National Protocol Officer
- Ensure the membership is following the Free Masons Riding Club National Grand Chapter Bylaws
- Provide oversight at Chapter, State and National Events and Meetings if in attendance.
- Advise and educate members of the FMRC on the correct etiquette and courtesies when dealing with other Riding Clubs, Riding Associations or Motorcycle Clubs.
- Motivate FMRC members to attend rides, club events (national, state or chapter)
- Answer questions from interested Brothers about the FMRC, promote membership, rides and events
National Sgt at Arms
- Maintain order within the club during meetings or club events as directed by the National Director or National Deputy Director.
- Provide oversight at Chapter, State and National Events and Meetings if in attendance.
- Answer questions from interested Brothers about the FMRC, promote membership, rides and events
National Chaplain
- Preside as Chaplain for National, State and Chapter functions if present. Console members and their families as necessary
- Responsible for holding all members accountable to the principles of Virtue, Diligence and Brotherly Love, as well as the other standards of membership.
- Reaches out to Family of deceased Brethren to offer our condolences. He educates them on the clubs guidelines for the Shield…ie: Bury or cremated with shield, shield returned to the club, returned to club for proper retirement then returned to family for memories.
- Maintains and distributes the National Grand Chapter Benevolence Fund as directed.
- Motivate FMRC members to attend rides, club events (national, state or chapter)
- Answer questions from interested Brothers about the FMRC, promote membership, rides and events
National Membership Officer (Shared Duties – Director and Deputy Director)
- Receive and process new membership applications (FMRC and Ladies Aux)
- Enter new member information into the proper databases
- Ship new membership packets (includes a Large Shield, if ordered, small patch, Membership Card, welcome letter, copy of the National Grand Chapter Bylaws,
- Send Welcome email to the new FMRC members with information about the Free Masons Riding Club FB page, how to access the Website (www.freemasonsrc.com)
- Send an email with the new member’s information to the State Captains or closest Chapter President (Done by new website)
- Maintain the Active Chapters and Presidents Roster for the Club
- Collect Chapter dues and make a correct record. (New website Setup to send invoice)
- Maintain supply of Club Shields, Ladies Aux Shield and small patches for each. Notify Merchandise Officer to replenish supply.
- Answer questions from interested Brothers about the FMRC, promote membership, rides and events
National Merchandise Officer
- Order and maintain supply of Club merchandise (T-Shirts, small patches, business cards, FMRC Lapel pins, etc)
- Order FMRC Shields and Ladies Aux Shields when requested by Membership Officer.
- Receive and Ship orders in a timely manner
National Webmaster
- Maintain the Free Masons Riding Club website and email.
State Captain
- Serve as Liaison between the FMRC and the Grand Lodge of your State
- Report Club issues to the National Officers.
- Address Club issues within your State.
- Communicate activities, rides, events (local and national) to all FMRC members in your state. This can be by email, phone call, Social media, Group messaging or in person. (Not all FMRC members belong to a Chapter).
- Communicate with the Chapter Presidents, helping them motivate members to attend rides, fundraisers, lodge or club events and visiting lodges.
- Receive Chapter Roster updates from the Chapter Presidents and forward to the National Membership.
- Confirm each chapter has paid their Chapter Dues by December 15th each year.
- Welcome all new members in their State to the FMRC and assist them with finding a local chapter.
- Answer questions from interested Brothers about the FMRC, promote membership, rides and events
Chapter President
- Report Chapter or member issues to the State Captain
- Communicate all Officer or member information changes to the State Captain or National membership.
- Maintain an updated Chapter Roster
- Present to the Grand Chapter and State Captain (if applicable) an updated Roster of the Officers and Members of the Local Chapter on a Bi-Annual basis.
- Confirm Chapter Dues are paid to the Grand Chapter on time.
- Motivate Chapter members to attend rides, visit area lodges, support local benefits, charities or a Chapter lunch/dinner ride to enjoy fellowship. Post these events on the Free Masons Riding Club Facebook page, the club website and FMRC Group in Band app.
- Promote National, Regional and local club rides/events.
- Answer questions from interested Brothers about the FMRC, promote membership, rides and events
ALL OFFICERS ARE REQUIRED TO OWN AND RIDE A MOTORCYCLE
