  • Brother Bill Lins was a great guy and Mason. Rode many miles with Bill and worked in a number of degrees with him over the years. Including several FMRC Outdoor Degrees in Wharton… one of which, Petcock (now taken from us by murderers) rode his Harley into the “lodge room” to present the newly raised Brother (I believe it was Robert Guererro) his shield. Those were some great days. Bill was a longtime DI in the Wharton/El Campo area. His commitment to the craft, especially in his district was substantial. I fear for Masonry in his district. He was largely responsible for keeping Masonry alive down there. His memorial service is this Saturday, May 15, at the site where we always held the Wharton FMRC Outdoor Degrees. See below for the details:

The memorial service for our departed Brother William (Bill) Lins has been set for May 15th 2021 at Old Oaks Ranch in Wharton, TX at 11 am. Some may remember that we used to conduct our outdoor degrees there. The address for the ranch is 3328 CR 132, Wharton, TX 77488. If you would please forward this email to all those who may be interested in attending Bill’s service, I would greatly appreciate it. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
